Each side of the dreidel has a Hebrew letter. Spin it and see where it lands.
Nothing happens.
Take everything in the pot.
Take half the pot (rounded up).
Put 1 gelt in the pot.
Each spin lands on any of the four letters, equally likely. When the pot is empty or has just 1 left, everyone adds 1. Run out of gelt and you are out.
